Nineties pop singer looks completely different 30 years after number 1 hit song
This popular nineties star was part of a pop & dance group in the '90s and achieved a few top 40 hits and an iconic number-one hit.
Some of the top hits included U R the Best Thing and Shoot Me with Your Love. The group's 1994 song Things Can Only Get Better is what shot to number one. The star in question, Peter Cunnah, was part of D:Ream - a group which consisted of him and Al Mackenzie.
And now, almost 30 years after the song hit number one, Peter looks completely different with grey hair and a more mature face. He regularly takes to D:Ream's official Instagram page to share sweet snaps of him and Al hanging out before concerts and special events.
After all these years, Peter and Al are still busy performing. The duo have an upcoming concert at Butlins, alongside the likes of Peter Andre and girl group Cleopatra.

Their live band had keyboard player Brian Cox but he later became a television presenter. The group's first chart success was from Things Can Only Get Better. Not long after, U R The Best Thing became their second chart hit.

In 1994, they were nominated for Best Dance Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards and for Best Single at the 1995 BRIT Awards. Their biggest hit re-entered the charts when Tony Blair used it for his New Labour campaign after 18 years of Conservatives being in power.

It’s been my meal ticket, for sure, but, you know, Tony Blair is basically a walking war criminal. I’ve had people say that my work is tainted as a result, that I’m somehow complicit, which I find very, very hurtful.”
The group reformed in 2008 when Peter and Al randomly met each other. They released a single in 2009 and later an album, called In Memory Of, in 2011. Ten years later, the band continued releasing music with fans being blessed with a studio album called Open Hearts Open Minds.
Unfortunately, none of their recent songs entered the charts. The re-release of Things Can Only Get Better in 2014 was the only song to reach the top 100. Peter earned a few hits when he wrote songs for Steps and A1. He even lent his voice to Chicane's top 40 song Love on The Run.
