Emmerdale plots 'sealed' - Abuse fears, baby twist and family destroyed by fling
Emmerdale viewers can expect huge drama ahead in the coming weeks and months, following recent bombshells on the ITV soap.
A huge week of episodes revealed new twists and turns ahead, which could lead into the new year. We saw the murder of a villain leading to a secret being kept between two villagers, which was pretty unexpected.
There was the beginning of an affair plot too, a baby twist and worrying signs of a dark plot ahead on the show. Fans are confident they now know some big plots coming up after producer Laura Shaw dropped some spoilers recently.
Below we recall some of the moments ahead that Laura had teased, with scenes now giving more information on those plots. We also take a look at some of the big theories predicted by viewers...
Emmerdale episodes recently have teased some major twists (ITV)Craig death fallout
The village is still reeling from the recent murder of Lydia Dingle's rapist Craig. Lydia's husband Sam Dingle believed he'd accidentally killed Craig after attacking him.

Lydia dumped Sam over this, and even when the truth about the death came to light she still could not forgive him. Currently the Dingles are torn apart by the death, with Lydia wanting justice for what Craig did to her.
She's yet to realise Kim Tate and Cain Dingle allowed Craig to die after her horse kicked him, causing his injuries. The story is the horse ran off and kicked Craig while it was missing - so if the truth did come out, there would no doubt be fireworks.
Baby drama
Rhona Goskirk discovers ex Gus Malcolm has stolen her embryos and his partner, Lucy, is now heavily pregnantLaura had recently told press a big baby plot was on the way. Laura said: "We all love a soap baby! We know that Dawn and Billy are pregnant and excitedly waiting for their baby, which is conveniently due around Christmas, as soap babies always are! It’s always either Christmas or Super Soap Week.
"But we do have another baby that is joining us. This one won’t quite be the happy news of Billy and Dawn though, and it’s going to be a huge shock for one of our couples in Emmerdale. It’s going to literally turn their lives upside down and result in a big fracture in what was once a very solid marriage. I’ll leave you to guess who that might be…"
Now it seems we know who could be involved, as spoilers for upcoming episodes confirm Rhona Goskirk discovers ex Gus Malcolm has stolen her embryos and his partner, Lucy, is now heavily pregnant. Viewers will recall that Gus showed up in the village earlier this year, asking ex Rhona for her help.
He revealed to her that he was in a new relationship and wanted to have kids with his new partner but they weren't able to. He said he had kept the embryos they had frozen while together and wanted to use them but needed her permission, as she was the other parent of the embryo.
Rhona was left floored as she believed the embryos had been destroyed and after meeting Lucy, contemplated letting them use the embryos before changing her mind. Next week, Rhona's husband Marlon ends up blurting out the fact he recently bumped into Gus and Lucy at the hospital, and he tells her Gus stole her embryos.
Rhona struggles to process this news and the next day, a shocked Rhona taps up Ethan for some legal advice, who makes clear it would be an arduous legal battle with Gus and Lucy. So what will be the result of the storyline, and will it come between Rhona and Marlon?
Affair to tear family apart?
Tracy Robinson embarked on a shock affair with Caleb Miligan (ITV)Laura teased an affair was on the cards, involving a character who was currently happily married. Speaking to press recently, she told The Mirror and others: "We love an affair in soap, so we’ve got a very passionate, steamy affair coming up between two people, and one of them at the moment is seemingly very happily married.
"The affair is going to have huge repercussions. It’s going to affect a lot of our villagers. It’s also going to ultimately lead to a new arrival joining the show, which I can’t tell you about just yet because it won’t be until next year, but we’re very excited about it here.

"It’s going to be explosive, and that new arrival is going to cause uproar in the village." We now appear to know this is Tracy Metcalfe and Caleb Miligan, who is the uncle of her husband Nate Robinson.
The secret will have to come out at some point, with Laura promising huge repercussions. Will the Dingles be torn apart for good as they must support either Nate or Caleb?
Abuse horror
Tom had proposed to Belle (ITV)Viewers are predicting a harrowing domestic abuse storyline for Tom King and Belle Dingle. During a flashback, it was revealed that Tom had proposed to Belle, who gently turned down his proposal as it felt too soon and she pointed out it felt bad timing with everything going on with Lydia.
However, Tom didn't take the news well and as Belle reassured him she wasn't "saying no", he attempted to storm out. Belle tried to stop Tom from leaving but he violently pushed Belle, shouting "Leave me alone" as Belle hit her head on the table, leaving the scared character bleeding.
Tom was quick to apologise, insisting he would never do it again and he'd never want to hurt her, begging for another chance to which Belle insisted it was "okay", saying: "I've already forgotten it". Soap watchers have been left fearing for Belle and have predicted a sinister storyline.
Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Looks like Tom is gonna be more abusive towards Belle in future. #Emmerdale", a different account put: "A domestic abuse storyline for Tom and Belle? #Emmerdale", another viewer wrote: "Had a horrible feeling that was where the storyline with Tom was heading. Poor Belle #Emmerdale" while another fan added: "#Emmerdale I see a domestic abuse storyline coming up here with Belle and Tom" with a sad emoji.
