Wolves boss Gary O’Neil insisted he had never been prouder after seeing his team strike twice in injury time to shatter Spurs’ hopes of returning to the top of the Premier League.
O’Neil’s side trailed to Brennan Johnson’s early strike until the 91st minute when substitute Pablo Sarabia volleyed home a sensational equaliser.
And six minutes later, Sarabia’s pass sent Mario Lemina through to score a winner which sent Molineux mad. O’Neil said: “This is the most proud I have ever been of a group of players I’ve coached.
“To produce a performance like that against a top side like Spurs, to go a goal down and still find a solution was big credit to them. We work hard on mentality. I want a team that is a bit like me in the way I was as a player.
“But in the dressing room, I told them that I was never good enough to produce a performance like that.” O’Neil, who celebrated Lemina’s strike with a Mourinho-like dash down the touchline, added: “I was full of energy and I didn’t know what else to do.

“We’re not allowed on the pitch so I just had a little run. I will try to control; myself in future! I would have been proud even if we had lost the game 1-0 because of the performance and the mentality we showed.
“I told the players at half-time not to allow the scoreline to dictate how they played. I told them that even though we were a goal down, we were the better team.”
