One of the highlights of Christmas for many is all of the tasty Christmas food on offer. Indulging in festive food that you only have once a year is so divine, and there's always lots to choose from. It's the season for turkey, brie, and even Brussels sprouts for some.

Are you the sort of person to pile the sprouts high, or turn your nose up at them? Do you devour a dinner that's covered in gravy, or do you like your Yorkshire puds to be crispy rather than soggy? And what really are the nation's favourite festive foods?

Tech retailer Curry's surveyed Christmas-loving Brits to see what we're all stocking up on for our Christmas feasts, and surprisingly, quite a lot of us love a Brussels sprout as it shockingly came in at third.

It's no surprise that turkey took the top spot when it came to meat as it's people's favourite centrepiece, alongside roast chicken and roast beef in joint second with 22%, and a third would opt for nut roast and veggie Wellington.

For condiments and trimmings, number one was a classic roast potato - the staple to any roast dinner- as a quarter of Brits say they're a "non-negotiable", and in second were pigs in blankets. "In second place, it's pigs in blankets followed by the unexpected choice of Brussels sprouts – 10% say it the trimming they look forward to the most," The Metro reported.

For sauces and condiments, 28% of people chose cranberry sauce, but surprisingly, 16% admitted they opted for mint sauce. 44% said they go for gravy, and shockingly over half claimed they "won't bother" with any sauce. And last but not least desserts.

No surprise that Christmas pudding is at the top with 25% of people saying it's their go-to - it is Christmas after all - followed by a mince pie, and then a cheese board for the savoury lovers. For drinks, 22% will go for wine, as well as mulled, 15% go for a Baileys and 12% choose a glass of fizz.
