Marcus Rashford 'not happy' as Man Utd dealt significant striker blow
The pressure is mounting on Erik ten Hag as Manchester United prepare for their first-ever Premier League meeting with Luton Town on Saturday.
United hoped they had turned a corner with their victory at Fulham last weekend, but a defeat to FC Copenhagen sent them back to square one. Defeat against Galatasaray in the next Champions League game will see Erik ten Hag's side eliminated from the competition, and they will go into the game without the suspended Marcus Rashford.
Rashford's situation is one of the areas under scrutiny ahead of Luton's visit, while there is also a fresh blow for Ten Hag in the transfer market. Here are the latest lines from around Old Trafford.
Mount move 'a mistake'
Former Chelsea defender William Gallas believes Mason Mount was wrong to trade Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford over the summer. England international Mount joined United in a big-money move but has struggled to find top form after picking up an injury early in the season.
“I think people understand why Mount left, even if his transfer to Man United was a mistake," Gallas told Lord Ping. "His performances haven't been great. Mount was a Chelsea boy, but they couldn't find a solution. It was a mistake."

Erik ten Hag pointed to Mount's injury as mitigation for his slow start, telling reporters: "It is the worst moment for a new player to get injured because it stops the integration process and that was a step back for us all. He now has to find his place back."

"But I know he will be back and when the team is playing better, he will play better and score goals. I am confident in that. He will improve and score goals this season. He is totally aware of everything, so he will be back on track. It can happen very quickly. Sometimes you only need one game and I am sure we will get there.”

United dealt Ferguson blow
Manchester United's hopes of landing Brighton striker Evan Ferguson look even slimmer now, with the Irish international signing a new deal with the Seagulls. Ferguson, who had also been linked with Liverpool, has committed his future to his current club until 2029.
"Evan is a brilliant young talent and we are delighted for him," Brighton technical director David Weir said. “He’s shown his ability at club and international level, after breaking into the team at the start of the year, and we are looking forward to working with him and watching his continued progress.”
Ferguson signed a contract extension with Brighton early last season and extended it again after scoring his first Premier League goals last term. He scored his first hat-trick in the competition this term and has five goals in 10 matches.
