Matthew Perry enjoyed a final holiday of a lifetime in the French Riviera just weeks before his death.

During the lavish trip filled with yacht and helicopter rides, Matthew reconnected with his best boyhood friends as they explored the Mediterranean Coast. On the fun-filled summer getaway, the Friends star was joined by his close friends Brian Murray, Christopher Murray, his goddaughter Tara Murray, and his assistant Kenny Iwamasa.

The group of pals looked like they had the time of their lives as they took in the breath-taking sea views and picturesque towns. In pictures from the trip, Matthew beamed with his arms wrapped around his besties as they boarded a helicopter together to take in the view from above.

Following the action-packed trip, one of Matthew's friends took to social media and wrote: "Forgot to post about this bit of summer 2023! Great time on the Med with The Caucus!!" Matthew commented on the snaps just days before his death jokingly writing: "Nothing like 4 grown men, sailing down the French Riviera together."

Matthew seemed to be in good spirits in private snaps obtained by The Sun. After the thrilling expedition with his friends, the 54-year-old actor was found dead after reportedly drowning in his hot tub at his Los Angeles residence on October 28. His body was found by his assistant unresponsive in the water, with them calling for emergency help. The official cause of Matthew's death has been deferred since his toxicology report is still being processed.

After the news of his tragic death Matthew's friend Brian, who had known him since first grade, took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute in his memory. He wrote: "Mourning the loss of our dear brother Matty. Funniest man I know, a heart of gold and a treasured friend. Words can't describe how much we miss you pal. Forever in our hearts. Rest in peace Matty. Xo."

In Matthew's famous memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing the actor spoke about his friendship with the Murrays and how they played an essential role in the way he portrayed the beloved character Chandler Bing on Friends. He wrote that the brothers helped him create Chandler's voice which he referred to as the "Murray-Perry Cadence."

Matthew wrote: "I don't think it's an exaggeration to suggest that Chandler Bing transformed the way America spoke." He continued: "For the record: that transformation came directly from Matthew Perry, Chris Murray, and Brian Murray f***ing around in Canada in the 1980s. Only I got rich off of it, though. Fortunately, Chris and Brian have never busted me for that and are still my dear, hilarious friends."
