Mum, 35, brutally stabbed to death and found by her two young children
A man has been arrested after a woman was found stabbed to death by her children in a "truly horrific attack" which took place in Greater Manchester this morning.
Officers were called to reports of a woman with "serious injuries" and rushed to the scene in Little Hulton, Salford. The victim, aged 35, is said to have endured a single stab injury to her chest. The victim's two young children found her injured.
North West Ambulance service told The Mirror they dispatched an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle after they received a call at around 2.42am. They confirmed one patient was taken to hospital, where she later passed away. Police launched a manhunt after the suspect fled the scene. They have since arrested a 45-year-old man in connection to the incident.
Forensics attended the scene at Duksgate Grove (MEN Media)Two CSI vans were pictured parked outside of the house and forensic officers appeared to be coming in and out. An eyewitness said locals are unable to "drive or cross the street" following the incident.
A resident who has lived in the area for seven years said she is shocked by the incident. She Manchester Evening News: “It’s devastating. It’s shocking.”
