Emmerdale Eric 'affair twist' leads to life-changing news and emotional reunion
Emmerdale viewers saw one couple hit by an affair claim in the latest episode of the ITV soap, leading to a sad discovery.
Brenda Walker made an alarming find as she returned to partner Eric Pollard's home, wanting to get her things after he ended their romance. Brenda had no idea Eric had been told he may have Parkinson's disease with a diagnosis confirmed during this week.
He had been to see a doctor to discuss his symptoms, and last week viewers saw him confide in Mandy Dingle. But instead of opening up to his partner Brenda, he confided in Mandy once more before lashing out at his partner over his health diagnosis.
As Brenda begged him to tell her what was wrong, he cruelly told her he did not want to be with her and insulted her. Brenda burst into tears as she asked what she had done wrong, but Eric continued to make nasty comments before telling her they were over for good.
While it was clear to viewers that he was just pushing her away out of fear of being a "burden", Brenda was left believing he no longer loved her. So when she showed up to his house during Thursday's episode and found a necklace, she assumed he was cheating on her.

Telling her she was the most important person in his life, Eric confirmed what he had been hiding and shared his health diagnosis. Brenda was devastated by the news, but she was also furious that he kept from her and decided for her that he would end their romance.
Brenda made it clear she was going nowhere and would help him through everything. The episode saw the pair finally reunite during Eric's time of need, with fans thrilled.
