EastEnders scenes have teased a dramatic exit storyline for Karen Taylor which could see her family torn apart.
Scenes on Thursday night heavily hinted at how she may leave the show, with her set to bow out of Walford for good very soon. While nothing has been confirmed, a showdown with her son Keanu Taylor teased what could be on the cards - and it could leave the family in tatters.
The pair were rowing over the £50,000 ransom money they stole from Keanu's on/off enemy Phil Mitchell amid a shocking kidnap plot. Keanu has turned on his mum since their plan against his on/off lover Sharon Watts, with him since reuniting with her despite making her think her son had been abducted by dangerous thugs just days ago.
Keanu and Karen teamed up to steal everything Sharon had, including their son Albie, after Sharon refused to put Keanu on the birth certificate. She also planned to move away from Walford with her son, leaving Keanu behind and with little access to his son.
Karen was furious and encouraged him to take revenge, leading to the fake kidnapping of his son Albie. Karen took him to a family member's house and Keanu wrote a ransom note, leading to Phil lending Sharon £50,000 to pay the supposed abductors.

He even cruelly told Karen they needed to keep their distance, before suggesting to Sharon that Karen did not approve of them reuniting hence him being angry at her. Keanu stormed round to her flat and demanded she return the money, looking for it leading to them having a row.
Karen claimed she was keeping it for when "he would need it" if he and Sharon split up. This didn't stop Keanu losing it, threatening Karen and leaving her terrified.
With the mother and son torn apart it seems and Keanu possibly turning his back on her in favour of staying with Sharon, it seems there could be no going back for them. But will Karen flee with the money after hiding it from him?
With Karen leaving soon, perhaps she will be forced out of Walford if the truth comes out about the kidnapping. Might Keanu set her up, or might Karen take the money and run before anyone finds it?
Earlier this year it was confirmed that Karen actress Lorraine Stanley had been written out of the show with her character dropped. Fans had initially feared Karen would die in the fire plot airing this week, but spoilers have appeared to confirm she will be in episodes airing next week or later.
