Prince Harry appears glum next to beaming Meghan Markle after birthday row
Prince Harry appeared glum next to his smiling wife Meghan Markle as they visited veterans and their families in Downtown San Diego.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent the morning with the United States Navy SEALs for the official opening of a new training facility, known as the 'West Coast Warrior Fitness Programme'. Their visit took place just days after the couple said they had "no contact" from King Charles about his upcoming birthday.
Meghan seemed to be in good spirits as she waved to the crowd before joining officials for the cutting of the ribbon. Harry, however, appeared to frown as he listened to the speeches and seemed to be a little preoccupied.

Charles is set to celebrate his 75th birthday on November 14. The party will be held at Clarence House and will be attended by Charles' close family and friends. Harry and Meghan are not believed to have made it to the invite list.

It was initially claimed that Harry was invited to the event, but chose to turn down the offer. However, new reports suggest the couple was never invited in the first place. A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan told the Daily Mail: "There has been no contact regarding an invitation to His Majesty’s upcoming birthday. It is disappointing the Sunday Times has misreported this story."

According to them, the pair found out through the media reports. They also said it was unusual for Harry and Meghan to not even be involved in the family plans.
The source said: "In this case, they aren’t and that's okay. I'm sure the Duke will find a way to reach out privately to wish His Majesty a happy birthday like he always done. The story in The Times as well as subsequent stories have been positioned in a way to make it look like the Duke is snubbing his father, which he is not."
