Coleen Rooney shares heartbreak over two devastating miscarriages
Coleen Rooney has revealed she suffered two miscarriages while bravely admitting she wonders if they were the 'daughters she wasn't meant to have'.
The mum-of-four, 37, makes the heartbreaking admission in her new book, My Account: The Official Autobiography Coleen Rooney, which is released today. Opening up about her life with former footballer, Wayne Rooney, 38, Coleen says she was in tears after her first miscarriage, which happened before she had her sons.
Describing the heartbreak of how her first pregnancy ended just months after she and Wayne were married, she shares: "I started bleeding one morning at about ten weeks. After an examination at the hospital, doctors told us there was a heartbeat, but the baby was smaller than it should have been at ten weeks. I went home feeling relieved."

Coleen said she went home feeling "shaken up and hollow", adding: "Of course, we were both devastated by the news".
The tragic loss also affected Wayne, who had been longing to be a father, so much that when he returned to their Cheshire home, he "cried". Coleen explains: "It's a strange thing to be feeling all that excitement and joy, only to have it taken away so fast – a horrible experience which knocked Wayne for six too."

Revealing she had her second miscarriage after giving birth to her first two children Kai, now 14, and Klay, 10, Coleen admits she felt "slightly differently" compared to her first miscarriage, because she'd been 'blessed by two healthy boys'. However, she does admit she still wonders if she is 'not meant to have a daughter,' sharing: "I've wondered since if I could only have boys, that I couldn't carry girls and that the two I lost might have been female. Mum says maybe I'm just meant to be the mum of boys, and that's fine by me."
Coleen has revealed she will not be having more children with footballer husband Wayne - because the ex-England star had a vasectomy after their fourth child was born. The couple discuss intimate parts of their relationship as part of Coleen's new Disney+ series, The Real Wagatha Story.
Addressing the prospect of becoming a mum again, she says: "The big question is always would you like a girl. I always thought I would have a few kids, maybe three at the most and then number four came along and we knew our family was complete. Me and Wayne talked about him having a vasectomy. He said after this baby 'that's it we are not having anymore'. And Wayne went in and got the snip, so I knew for sure we would not be having anymore children."
