Coronation Street Aadi's next love interest confirmed after Courtney heartbreak
Coronation Street's Aadi Alahan's next love interest has been revealed after his recent Courtney Vance heartbreak.
Soap watchers will recall that Aadi and Courtney embarked on an affair earlier this year, but it was soon rumbled in dramatic scenes with Courtney's husband, Darren, filing for divorce. Meanwhile, Aadi's father, Dev Alahan, was left disappointed with his son, especially as the affair could have ruined a huge business deal for the family.
Earlier this month, Aadi was left reeling when Darren showed up unannounced at his flat with news from Courtney. Darren explained that he and Courtney had decided to give their marriage another go with the businessman showing up to collect his estranged wife's belongings.
A devastated Aadi was in disbelief and was left further heartbroken when he tried to ring Courtney, realising that she has blocked his number. Next week will see Aadi's sister Asha learn the truth when she spots Courtney and Darren together, mistakenly thinking that Courtney is cheating on her brother as Aadi has kept his heartbreak a secret so far.

Earlier this year, Amy was part of a harrowing rape storyline with Aaron Sandford. After her ordeal, Amy found herself getting close to friend, Aadi, and Iain has teased there could be a love story to explore between the two.
Corrie's Sue Cleaver says I'm A Celebrity stint helped her to push boundaries
Iain said: "Amy, despite outward appearances, is profoundly affected by what happened – as she will be for the rest of her life. So there's another chapter of this. We wanted this chapter to be a final catharsis that doesn't allow Amy to move on exactly, because I don't know that you ever can. But it allows her to enter a different chapter of her reaction to what went on.
"Amy will find herself driven to some fairly extreme lengths, in what she sees as an attempt to right some wrongs. She feels that she's acting in an entirely justified way. But it will fall to one of her friends to pull her back from the brink before she criminalises herself essentially, in a pursuit of what she believes to be a just outcome."
Aadi won't be heartbroken for too long as the ITV soap is already lining up a new love interest in the form of Amy BarlowIain added: "Indeed, this story is a really significant staging post in our ongoing fostering of this closeness between Aadi and Amy. It's them being best friends and having each other's back, come what may. It's a really, really long-range love story that we're hoping to tell with them. It's going to really engage the audience."
Addressing Courtney's future on the cobbles, Iain said: "I should say, I love Steph [Davis, who plays Courtney]. And I love Courtney! I think she's just been a big, colourful glitter bomb that's gone off in the middle of that storyline. But the long-term direction for Aadi is Amy Barlow. So what Courtney's role, if any, might be going forward, I don't know definitively, but I don't see her and Aadi as being the forever couple."
airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and X.
