Coleen Rooney's one regret from court case and true feelings towards Vardy
Coleen Rooney has shared her true feelings about Rebekah Vardy and her one regret from the Wagatha Christie court case.
The wife of Wayne Rooney appeared on ITV's This Morning today to speak about her new memoir as well as her Disney documentary, which documents her lengthy court battle with Rebekah Vardy over stories she had leaked about her. Convinced someone was using her private Instagram content to share stories with a newspaper, Coleen earned the name Wagatha Christie for her clever way of tracking who the 'leaker' was, before posting a bombshell statement that accused Rebekah Vardy's account of being behind the leak.
The pair went to court, with Vardy suing Rooney for libel. However, the presiding judge Mrs Justice Steyn ruled in favour of Coleen and said that Rebekah had passed information about Rooney to the media.
Coleen opened up on This Morning todaySpeaking on This Morning today, she was asked if she could have done something differently, to which she said: "Maybe, but I'm not one for looking back. I did it and now I'm here. That massive cloud has lifted ... there is value in the end."
And asked how she feels towards Rebekah Vardy now, she added: "I don't need to think about it. I've got my own family and friends. I'm focusing on this at the minute, but going into Christmas, I want a nice family Christmas. I just want to breathe and see what happens. This is my account, how I felt. I don't want to think about the other side."

In her documentary, Coleen admitted the trial caused her health woes to resurface. She explained: "It caused anxiety and there were lots of tears. I have reactive arthritis. I've had it previously but this situation brought it on a lot more. It stripped me of my character and I didn’t want to socialise with people. I was completely in my own world. It was not a nice place to be."

My emotions really came out and that made the interview process quite intense, but then it was also a good chance to reflect. I stuck to my guns from beginning to end. My story never changed from day one, and I was telling the truth."
Coleen explained that she never expected it to get to trial - and is glad something that "consumed" her life so much is over. "It consumed my life for a few years so it's a weight off my shoulders now, and I can get back to focusing properly on my family and friends, who mean a lot to me," she shared of her feelings on the trial and fall out with Vardy, "I thought there might be a few cross words said, but I didn't think it would explode like it did."
