Big Brother hit with 1,000 Ofcom complaints as fans 'disgusted' with bullying

Big Brother has been hit by a string of Ofcom complaints after fans were left concerned over certain housemates being the subject of bullying.

The reality TV show was inundated by more than 1,000 reports of unfair treatment in the house and most recently viewers expressed concern over the "disgusting" behaviour from Jenkin and Tom towards fellow housemate Yinrun. And previously, viewers saw Trish call Paul out for being a bully. This came after housemate Yinrun had passed Big Brother's secret mission and was rewarded with a party but she was only able to choose six people - and Paul among others were left out.

Taking it upon himself to ruin her party as he wasn't invited, he started to throw balls of cling film and then turned his attention towards Noky, calling her weird. At one point he asked her what she was staring at and went on to say: "You’re strange, you just stare at me and don’t say a word. Weird." Trish then returned to the party, and Noky filled her in on the bitter interaction. In a bid to stand up for her pal and housemate, Trish hit out at Paul and said: "You are a bully." Paul then asks her "Why am I a bully?" And Trish told him: "You know why you’re a bully, don’t act stupid."

Paul was then forced to acknowledge his treatment towards Noky and Trish then said: "So you know? So you know who you’ve been bullying? You are a bully." This cruel interaction generated 97 complaints after Big Brother's live feed was pulled due to the explosive row. Olivia, Tom, Jenkin and Chanelle’s behaviour towards Trish and Noky was also laid out in 50 complaints. This came after Paul, Olivia and Tom had been causing trouble in the house – deliberating keeping their housemates up during the night in the hope of causing tension.

The trio attracted 62 complaints on November 3, while Paul's explosive behaviour was again under the spotlight for the 161 complaint total for that day. Noky was seen breaking down in tears as she claimed that the security officer had made it a mission to constantly target her - and this forced fans to demand that production bosses step in.

Speaking to Big Brother a tearful Noky said: "He's made it no secret that he thinks I'm being fake based off of no evidence. I think he has made up his mind about me and no matter what I do he'll continue to take every action that I make and use it as a way to confirm his feelings. Even though I know that it has no bearing on who I am I don't believe that I should endure this constant accusations. I just want to have a fun and pleasant experience in here and I don't think he is going to let me do that."
