A woman recently caused uproar after sharing a video showing herself getting her boyfriend's name 'tattooed' across her forehead in large font.

Online creator Ana Stanskovsky went viral after sharing the clip, with most people in disbelief she would make such a massive - and lifelong - commitment to a guy she was dating.

In the video, Ana can be seen apparently squirming around in pain as the so-called artist gets to work, before showing off the name Kevin sprawled across her forehead - seemingly happy with the results. But now a tattooist has debunked the idea that the huge ink is real, and pointed to a number of telltale signs that it was all a ploy

A celebrity tattoo artist, ironically named Kevin Paul, has worked on the likes of Rihanna, Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran. He told the Metro that he believes the inking is "100% fake".

"It's literally black marker pen," he said of the 'tattoo'. "The machine isn't even running and there's no ink coming out of it. There's no needle actually going into the skin." Kevin continued: "Her skin would be raised and welted. All the pores would be raised up. You'd also see ink and blood dripping down her face."

The professional also has a number of tattoos on his own head - and called out Ana's supposed reaction to getting inked. "You don’t sit with a face like that when you're getting your head tattooed. It hurts. It's a desperate attempt for a tattoo artist to get noticed, and for the girl to get more followers."

Ana's video was first posted on Instagram - and viewers also agreed it looked fake. "The number of people commenting thinking it's real makes me weep for society," one person remarked. A second added: "People getting annoyed like 'stupidest thing I’ve ever seen?!' …girl the tattoo gun was literally a biro. She's having a laugh relaxxxxx!"

And a third summarised: "This is obviously fake. There is no needle coming down in the close-ups, just the plastic part of the gun against her skin. Also, there is no redness, no swelling, no bleeding, and no wiping of ink/blood during the process."

However, Ana seems to have since doubled down on her claim, publishing another video in which she said: "Every time I'm looking in the mirror, I'm in love. I'm in love with the tattoo and I'm in love with my boyfriend.

"If you really love with someone… you've just got to show it, you've just got to prove it. I think if your girlfriend doesn't want to tattoo your name on her face, you just need to find yourself a new girlfriend because I don't think she loves you."
