Kate Middleton may be feeling heartbroken as Prince William decided to put his duty to the throne first - meaning he spends less time with his wife and children, a royal expert has claimed.
The heir to the throne and his wife, the Princess of Wales, started taking on more responsibilities since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals - and began attending even more engagements since Charles became King last year. Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, William and Harry’s former private secretary, said the Prince "made the conscious decision" that "duty comes first".
Some royal experts have speculated that William's family may now be taking second places to his royal duties. According to Bella's royal expert Duncan Larcombe, the thought that William may be pulled away from Catherine and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, could make the Princess of Wales sad.

She's very supportive, but she's had to accept that he will spend less time at home as his priorities change due to circumstances."
He went on to say that William prioritised his family for the first 10 years of marriage - but now it appears that his priorities "have started to change", reports Closer Online. The expert said: "For the first ten years of marriage, William prioritised his family and got his life together with Kate.

"Their first home as husband and wife was a little farm cottage hidden away in Anglesey, Wales. When they had children, they tried to keep them behind the scenes. But now, it seems like William's priorities have started to change. He's now, in all but name, the serving Prince of Wales because his father is acting as Prince Regent, so he's gone from being valuable to being the royals' most important asset. That's his impossible dilemma."
Mr Larcombe said that because of his important role in the Royal Family, William must be feeling under "enormous" pressure and while he wanted to "primarily be a parent", he now needs to fulfill his duties. He added: "Ultimately, he will have to work out how possible it is to balance the country's needs with those of his wife and children. But Kate and their family may have to play second fiddle."
Last week, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Scotland and were greeted by well-wishers before they members of the outdoor charity Outfit Moray. Dressed for the weather, Kate wore a padded jacket and jeans, whilst William wore a wax jacket and chinos.

After that, William and Kate travelled to a nearby family-fun farm to learn about other efforts being made to support young people and their mental health. At Brodiehill Farm, they met members of the Lower Speyside Young Farmers group and representatives from Farmstrong Scotland.
