Strictly's Amanda Abbington lets slip Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola are dating

Ellie Leach and her Strictly Come Dancing partner Vito Coppola are dating, their co-star has seemingly confirmed.

Amanda Abbington - who quit the BBC Latin and ballroom show a few weeks back due to personal reasons - has seemingly confirmed that Coronation Street star Ellie and her professional dance partner are a real life item. After the pair went through at the weekend, Ellie posted a sweet photo of herself and Vito competing on the show and it was Amanda's comment in the post which has convinced fans the dancing duo are an item.

Alongside it, she wrote: "thank you, thank you, thank you. What a magical night, we are so grateful for all of your support and we’re soooo happy to be through to another week on that strictly dancefloor," as friends and fans rushed to congratulate them in the comments.

Her co-star Zara McDermott posted her congratulations below, writing: "So proud of you this week I watched you with the biggest smile on my face ever, fave look of the series too!!! Just beautiful xxxx," whilst Sally Ann Matthews - who plays Jenny on Coronation Street - also sent her congratulations, sharing: "Squish, squish, squeeze, squish repeat. You two deserve every squish that I’m not not known for giving. Talent shines through and hard graft is rewarded @vitocoppola x."

Nikita Kanda - who went out early in the series - left red hearts underneath the post, but it was Amanda Abbington's comment that has got tongues wagging. Writing under the Instagram post, she commented: "Stunning. So proud of the both of you. You are the most beautiful couple!," with the comment being liked by hundreds of people.

Last week, Vito posted a gushing tribute to 'his Lulu', saying how proud he was. He wrote: "Just THANK YOU. Sorry for repeating the same thing more times but this is the only way I have to show you all my gratitude and How thankful I am. One year ago when I moved here to the UK I couldn’t imagine that I would have feel so loved.

"Thank you thank you thank you very much. And to you my Lulú.. I am so proud of you and you know How much I believe in you so just keep going and keep working hard as you are already doing every day. You are doing great baby. Have a good rest tonight and make sure you eat properly. See you tomorrow for another beautiful day together."

Ellie commented under the post "love you" several times alongside a string of hearts, whilst his co-stars including Layton Williams, professional dancer Lauren Oakley, and recently evicted Adam Thomas also commented too.
