Strictly's Dianne Buswell 'very careful' but has 'chemistry' with Bobby Brazier

Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell oozed chemistry during their 'tactile' dance routine this weekend – as Dianne has been warned to be 'very careful' after her 'near-kiss' with Bobby during their performance.

Body language expert Darren Stanton weighed in on this weekend's BBC Strictly Come Dancing highlights as Dianne and Bobby's dance routine set chins wagging and Adam Thomas crashed out of the competition.

Bobby and Dianne wowed audiences as they whipped fans into a frenzy on Saturday night when he appeared to almost lock lips with the dancer following their steamy tango. The duo earned 30 points out of 40 and most watching at home loved what they saw as they so nearly embraced on the dancefloor, sending millions into a frenzy at home.

However, the judges weren't as impressed as Anton Du Beke aid he was shocked by "how rehearsed" their dance was branded it "a little bit sort of messy" while Craig Revel Horwood was typically brutal with his feedback and he slammed the dance. He said: "I thought it was too aggressive and there wasn't enough air or breathing in it. And I didn't feel that you were leading, you were placing everything… It was just simply choreographed rather than being danced together."

The actor wasn't happy with his score – Bobby crossed his arms and flashed signals of disappointment and surprise, meaning he didn't think the comments were fair, the behavioural expert says. He also spotted that they have 'prolonged eye contact', meaning dancing duo Bobby and Dianne 'care a lot about each other'.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Roulette, Darren said: "Bobby and Dianne have a lot of chemistry between them. They were very much in character this week and put on a convincing act for the purpose of the dance. Dianne is very careful about how she comes across when she's with Bobby.

"She's very conscious to remain professional and she's very deliberate in her body gestures. I do think they care a lot for each other and they have developed a deep rapport. Their dance was very tactile. They have prolonged eye contact and that is the biggest giveaway of how connected a pairing is.

“I saw that after their routine, Bobby had his arms folded when they received their feedback. We could see Bobby cross his arms, as well as flashing signs of disbelief, surprise and disappointment. He didn't want to hear it and felt like it wasn't fair. He was very critical of himself and you could see that in his eyes and facial expressions.”

Despite some tough criticism, Bobby and Dianne made it through another week with his pal Adam Thomas being sent home after losing out to Angela Rippon in the dance off. Adam ‘wasn’t too devastated’ by his and Luba’s exit, according to the specialist.

The pair sat at the bottom of the leaderboard on Saturday night with their American Rumba to Dancing On My Own by Calum Scott. Scoring 27 points out of 40.

Adam praised his 'incredible' time on the show and revealed he had joined for his children as viewers saw him say goodbye on Sunday. Anton Du Beke described the dance-off the 'closest one' so far this series – even if all four judges ultimately opted to save Angela and Kai.

"Adam was enthusiastic about Strictly from the very beginning, but I do think he was ready to leave," body language expert Darren went on. "He put his all into the show, and it was just his time. He came across as very authentic and passionate to learn the ropes. He is as humble as one could be in such a demanding show.

"Just from looking at his body language, his shoulders were down as his name was announced, and that tells me he wasn't devastated. There was sadness about his journey ending, but I can tell he felt relaxed and calm about it being their time. He was very gracious and showed nothing but respect to Luba and the judges the whole way through."
