Woman who won £30,000 on lottery reveals the unusual first thing she bought
The winner of a £30,000 People’s Postcode Lottery jackpot has revealed the first luxury purchase she will make.
A group of Kent-based neighbours have all raked in £30k in the latest “Street Prize” lottery draw, and Justine White, 49, said she planned to splash the cash on a “posh new kettle ”, specifically a “nice Dualit one to match my toaster”. She joked: “You should have seen me when I got my toaster.
Justine also wants to spread the wealth with her family, including her daughter who got engaged this summer. “Part of that will be a little nest egg for her when her and her fiancé set up home,” she explained.
Four people in the ME7 1TB postcode - where Justine has lived for the past 27 years - won £30,000 each. A fifth lucky winner received a cool £60,000 after buying two lottery tickets. Presenter Danyl described it as a “fantastic day surprising the winners”.
"I hope they all get the chance to celebrate together with a street party. Seeing neighbours celebrate together is brilliant and they know they're also supporting good causes locally, throughout Great Britain and internationally. When players sign up, charities win too."

The People’s Postcode Lottery has given prizes to Brits every week based on their postcode since 2005. It is said to have raised over £1.1 billion, with a third of ticket prizes going towards charitable causes according to the Sun.
And Kent has been on the lucky end of many wins, recently being hailed “one of Britain’s luckiest counties” - even before this most recent jackpot. Within a fortnight recently, three Kent locals scooped a whopping £3 million in Lotto prizes.
In a different people’s Postcode Lottery draw, residents of Deal town split £1 million between them - including pregnant mum Tamsin Burling, who nearly missed out on the £83,000 windfall when her partner said he didn’t want to buy a ticket.
Another £1 million Kent jackpot saw a professional footballer for Bournemouth and an ex-EFL manager both take in winnings. A woman in Cumbria won £125,000 on the People’s Postcode lottery - only half an hour after she was offered a job as a secondary school teacher.
A married couple from Birmingham promised to spend their Postcode Lottery winnings on honouring their late parents. One of the married couple’s neighbours plans to add a terracotta garden gnome to the collection she is already building.
