Chandler Bing was supposed to cheat on Monica Geller in the hit sitcom Friends, it has been revealed. But apparently, Matthew Perry is the reason why the alternative storyline never went ahead.
Matthew, 54, was found dead in his Los Angeles home. The beloved American-Canadian actor, who is most famed for his role in the US sitcom Friends, was found after he reportedly drowned in his hot tub, with his cause of death still unknown.
Laid to rest on Friday afternoon, Matthew's funeral service, which was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, was attended by his heartbroken co-stars. And now a former co-star of the actor has spoken out about an alternative storyline in the US sitcom that catapulted the six iconic stars to fame.

Speaking to US gossip site TMZ, Lisa explained how her part in the original scene was supposed to see Monica and Chandler get into a huge argument. Lisa's character was then supposed to bring up room service before sleeping with Chandler amid his row with Monica.
But Matthew knew that Friends fans would never forgive Chandler for being unfaithful, which is why after rehearsing the scene, the late Chandler star paid a visit to the writers and asked them to axe the storyline.
This comes as tributes continue to flood in for the late actor who died at his LA home on October 28. Found unresponsive in his hot tub, Matthew was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just six days after his passing, the actor's funeral took place, with the venue for the service held opposite where Friends was filmed for a decade at Warner Brothers studios. Attended by his loved ones, it is reported that only close friends and family spoke at the service, with an emotional song played at the end.
As well as his emotional parents, the co-stars that Matthew starred alongside in the sitcom Friends, were also in attendance at his farewell. Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, and Courteney Cox were seen at the send-off, with fellow co-stars David Schwimmer and Matt Le Blanc also joining the group later on.
