Married At First Sight UK couple Peggy Rose and Georges Bert recently took their relationship to the next level when they revealed they had got ‘intimate’ for the first time during homestays week.

But while Peggy and Georges’ romance finally appeared to be heating up after a rocky start, they might be about to hit another bump in the road when Georges heads to Peggy’s house in Kent, where the 32-year-old still lives with her mum and dad.

In a preview clip exclusively shared with the Mirror, Peggy and Georges are seen greeting her parents, Pat and Jimmy, before they drop the bombshell they won’t be sleeping in the same bed together under their roof.

Peggy’s mum says: “Go on, you can show Georges up to his room.” At first Georges thinks it’s a joke as Peggy asks: “Where’s he sleeping dad?” and her dad replies with a smirk: “On the sofa, that’s where he’s sleeping!”

But as Peggy leads Georges upstairs, it soon becomes clear her parents are being serious and there will no more intimacy during her half of the homestays week. During the homestays, the brides and grooms on the E4 reality show are tasked with giving their partner an insight into who they really are away from the pressure of the experiment by staying at each other’s real-life houses. This also gives them a glimpse of what life could look like as a couple in the outside world.

As Peggy shows Georges her bedroom, she lets him lie down on her mattress for a few seconds to see how comfortable it is. A bewildered Georges then asks: “Was your dad being serious about sleeping in a different room?”

Revealing it is anything but a joke, Peggy says: “Oh yeah. I’ll show you where your room is.” Much to Georges’ horror, Peggy then explains: “I’ve never had a boy stay in my bed.” “Never?!” Georges exclaims. “No, never in this house, no,” Peggy replies.

Accepting what his life is going to be like for the next few days, Georges holds his hands up and says: “OK. His house, his rules.” But speaking to the camera later, he revealed his true feelings on the issue.

In the episode, which will air tonight, Georges said: “I never thought when we got to homestays I would be staying in a spare room – but I have to respect Jimmy [Peggy’s dad]. It’s his home, it’s his daughter and that’s fine. No other previous partner has ever stayed in Peggy’s room, so why should it be different for me?” Holding up his ring finger and pointing to his wedding ring, Georges fumed: “That’s why!”

But instead of Georges having a bedroom opposite Peggy’s in her family’s large Kent house, which looks more like a manor with its wood panelling and vast rooms, he is disappointed to find out he is “right down the end” – as far away from her as possible, which is perhaps part of dad Jimmy’s plan.

So far, Peggy and Georges have struggled to form a deeper connection after he told his new bride that he would 'squat on camera' during his time online gaming after taking on challenges from other players.

Branding it ‘embarrassing’, Peggy has spent much of the series furious about her partner's confession and has struggled to see past Georges unusual hobby. During a recent group retreat to the countryside, some of the other contestants told Peggy she didn't look happy with Georges.

However, during Partner Swap Week, fellow bride During their time apart Peggy realised how much she had missed Georges and noted how much she really did like her husband.

Staying over at Georges’ house, the pair were seen snuggling up in bed as it was revealed the pair had spent the night together for the first time. Although they didn’t have full sex, other things definitely went on beneath the covers.

Georges told Peggy: "I have just woken up this morning and I just feel so much closer to you." Peggy agreed saying: "Last night was something we both needed. For me to progress intimacy with anybody, I do have to really like them. I need to know about them. Seeing where you live was just that kind of affirmation that I needed for me to let go." She later added: "We didn't go the whole way but to say we have been able to progress intimacy is massive." Viewers will have to wait to see if their relationship grows or if Peggy’s parents, who were against the marriage from the start, will put a dampener on it.
