Shoppers rave over £23 Ariana Grande perfume that 'smells like Baccarat Rouge'
Amazon shoppers are raving over a £23 celebrity perfume they say might even be better than the £235 Baccarat Rouge 540. Ariana Grande's Cloud EDP has dropped in price in an Amazon deal and can now be snapped up with 23% off.
Cloud has base notes of wood and musk, a very sweet heart with whipped cream, praline, coconut and vanilla orchid and fresh top notes of lavender, pear and bergamot. Baccarat Rouge 540 meanwhile has top notes of saffron and jasmine, a heart of Amberwood and ambergris and a fir resin and cedar base.
Despite not having much of an overlap in exact notes, many fragrance fans are insisting that it reminds them of the expensive fragrance. They say that Cloud is definitely sweeter but it shares an undeniable DNA with the Maison Francis Kurkdijan scent.

Cloud is being called a comforting and cosy gourmand scent, even with its name suggesting it would be much more airy. With an average rating of 4.6 out of five across over 8,000 reviews on Amazon it's clear this perfume is popular.

One shopper penned: "I love this perfume. Coconut makes it good for summer. There is some sweet rich depth. It warms up on your skin. It smells best when sprayed on the chest I think. Feminine, my husband likes the smell. Does not have the typical perfume base notes that get annoying. Smells expensive in a good way. Comparable to a much more expensive fragrance: Baccarat rouge 540."
Ariana Grande's Cloud EDPA second wrote: "I bought this without ever having smelled the perfume in person so it was definitely a risk, but it paid off! I get SO many compliments when I wear this perfume and I've even gotten a few people who mistake it for something more expensive, so I guess it doubles as a dupe too.
"I've worn a lot of different perfumes but I've never gotten as many compliments as I do with this one! It's such a distinct scent, it's got a nice musk to it but is still really feminine. Highly recommend especially since it's a cheaper perfume (and doesn't smell like it's cheap)! It generally stays on for about half the day to a full day."
A third wrote: "Ok, I’m sold. I was gifted a bottle of Baccarat Rouge 540 for Christmas and I love it. But it’s soooooo expensive I just can’t wear it everyday, even though I’m OBSESSED with how gorgeous it is. Kept reading everywhere that Cloud is just like it, it’s sold out everywhere in town shops and I guessed why. So I took a gamble and wow…, I can’t believe it! It does really smell like it.
"It’s not as ‘expensive’ smelling but it has virtually the same dry down. Top notes are sweeter, fruity with a touch of coconut. Base notes are warm, caramel, burnt vanilla sugar and woodsy. It doesn’t have anywhere near the oomph or staying power of it’s grown up expensive sister, but for the price you can keep it in your handbag and spritz away throughout the day."
But one shopper wasn't completely impressed with the fragrance, saying it didn't have great staying power. The shopper penned: "The perfume itself smells really nice however the scent wears off within 10minutes."
