A dad has gained superhero status after he dashed off to save his son from a rolling pram.

The terrifying moment was captured from the family's Vivint doorbell camera, with the 26-year-old father Jose Hernandez spotting the danger.

He saw that his son had quickly rolled away from him. As the super dad saved his son from rolling into the street, his daughter Selena Hernandez, aged 3, watched from the sidelines as the drama happened.

Alongside the truck driver, Jose's partner, 27-year-old Ashley Anderson, the family laughed about the incident in their home of Texas, US. After the frantic dad recovered from the state of panic, he will be sure to keep a watchful eye on his children in the future, to make sure he can catch any opportunities to showcase his superdad status.

Following the event, Ashley thought in more depth about what happened. Ashley said: "It sent Jose in a state of panic, but after, we laughed it off."

The video has captured the imagination of users online with people finding it amusing. One person joked: "She did some eye video and he started rolling, of course, she's just going to watch."

Earlier this year in September, a dad was called a hero after rescuing his three-year-old son from being swept out to sea by a riptide, however he was too "exhausted" to save himself, an inquest heard.

David Cole, 30, was unconscious when he was brought ashore and never came round. He had saved his son by keeping the youngster's head above the water at the coast in West Mersea, Essex.

Mr Cole’s partner, Katie McDonald, 27, paid tribute to him following the tragedy: "Dave was amazing. He was the best dad ever. He was like a big kid himself. All he ever wanted to do with the kids was have fun and make everything fun for the kids."
