Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have "built a reputation they'll never be able to run from", according to an expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex got married in 2018, just two years before they decided to step down as senior members of the Royal family. The couple, along with their young son Archie, moved from Windsor in the UK to Montecito in California in the summer of 2020.

And since making the move across the pond, Harry and Meghan have raised eyebrows with the way in which they have hit back at both the UK, the Royal Family, and the Markle Family. The couple have filmed a bombshell docuseries for Netflix, sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all interview, and Prince Harry even released an eye-opening memoir.

But according to Laura Perkes, a PR Strategist and Mentor at PR with Perkes, the couple have now built up a reputation that they'll never be able to detach themselves from. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Laura said: "Harry and Meghan have built a reputation that they're never going to be able to run away from, therefore the media and the public are always going to have a perception of the couple and the intention behind the decisions they make."

She went on to note how a lot of what the couple does "seems to be calculated", with this "giving the illusion that they're living by their organisation's tagline: leading the way with compassion". Laura concluded by saying that the public and the media "doesn't buy it", noting: "They always seem to try too hard and then miss the mark."

This comes after the couple were spotted trick-or-treating last week with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The family-of-four were seen out and about in Montecito with a host of other young families as they partook in the classic American holiday tradition.

Archie held his dad's hand, with a pumpkin basket in the other, ready to collect sweets. The young prince appeared to be dressed as a skeleton. Meanwhile, Meghan carried her daughter Lilibet who was dressed in a sweet pink costume.
