Leaked Strictly spoiler infuriates fans as 'wrong person' axed in 'plot twist'

The sixth celebrity to leave this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing has been leaked online once again ahead of Sunday night's results show - and fans are not happy about it.

The result of a dance-off between two pairings won't officially be announced until Sunday night, but the fate of one couple has already been decided. The BBC film the dreaded dance-off straight after Saturday night's live show but keep the results under wraps for 24 hours.

Every Saturday, the identity of the axed pairings has been leaked online since 2012 – much to the dismay of the Strictly team and judge Anton Du Beke, who last year suggested it is "ruining" the show for fans. Yet this week was no different as the name of the celebrity leaving this weekend was leaked online, which the Mirror has decided not to share.

Following the leaking of the sixth elimination of the series, fans took to social media to express frustration with the outcome, with one fuming: "Wrong person has gone." While another commented: "Waiting for the plot twist...." A third pleaded: "Can someone please tell me this isn't true."

It was a tightly fought competition, with Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola reaching the top of the leaderboard once again with a score of 39. The pair had wowed the judges with their American Smooth to Ain’t That A Kick In The Head by Robbie Williams, scoring 39 points. Layton and Nikita also impressed the judges with their Jive to Shake Ur Body by SHY FX & T Power feat Di, scoring an impressive 36 points.

In trouble this week, however, were Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk, Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu, and Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, scoring 27, 27 and 28 respectively. Prior to last night's show, viewers feared that they had worked out who would make an early exit from the competition. Last week saw former Love Island star Zara Mcdermott sent home with her partner Graziano Di Prima after being in the dance off against actor Adam and his partner Luba. However, fans think Adam's days are numbered and he could find himself in the dance off for the second week in a row.

Writing on Reddit, one person said: "Rumba for Adam post a dance off? Yeah it’s not looking good," as a second wrote: "They want Adam to go next, don't they?" Adam hasn't had the smoothest ride on the show, after he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, which has been causing him pain in his joints and limbs. There has been times that he has had to miss rehearsals due to his health.
