Emmerdale aired a surprise exit for a character on Friday night without warning, in the fallout to a murder twist.
Kim Tate left the village without a word for some time away, with her departure confirmed by her partner Will Taylor. Kim disappeared from the village rather abruptly, after teaming up with Cain Dingle in a death twist.
Thursday night's episode revealed how Lydia Dingle's rapist Craig really died, after Sam Dingle confessed to the crime. Sam had beaten him up, and believed his attack may have killed Craig.
But it soon emerged that Kim and her horse had come across an injured Craig in a field near Home Farm, and Craig went to grab her when she refused to help him. Kim's horse was spooked and ended up kicking Craig in the head.
Cain came across the scene and told Kim to leave him to die, which they did. But in the fallout, Kim was nowhere to be seen and had fled the village.

Emmerdale aired a surprise exit for a character on Friday night (ITV)Speaking with villager Eric Pollard, Kim's husband Will revealed she had taken off for Dubai. Eric was surprised by her sudden disappearing act especially with her beloved horse on the loose in the village.
But Will explained that the horse had bolted and she believed he wouldn't be back. He confirmed Kim was off on a trip and Dubai, while he did not reveal when she would be back - while she is not gone for good it seems.
Kim wasn't the only one who went AWOL during the episode though, just as Sam was arrested over Craig's murder. At the end of the episode he was relying on Lydia to return and back up his alibi, but she was nowhere to be seen.
The police kept asking where she was, and Sam said she had popped out. Lydia had stormed out of the house earlier in the day, struggling with the truth about Craig's demise.
Of course she doesn't know Sam is innocent, while she is still furious with him for kidnapping and attacking Craig. Lydia has yet to return home so does this mean another exit will be confirmed?
