Marvin Humes is set to swap the stage for the Australian jungle as part of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The singer who found fame as on quarter of British boyband JLS is known for his dashing fashion and his impressive vocals but they won't be required in the outback. Marvin, 38, is said to have the backing of his wife, The Saturdays singer and This Morning presenter Rochelle Humes, 34, who has never shied away from supporting her husband.

It's claimed that Marvin's fellow This Morning star, Josie Gibson will also be swapping the plunging temperatures in the UK for the basking sun of Australia. Meanwhile, Coronation Street's Alan Halsall is said to be in talks to take part in the challenging programme, along with a string of many household names. Other celebrities that also might be on the new series include former EastEnders star Danielle Harold, Sam Thompson, Fred Sirieix, Nick Pickard, jockey star Frankie Dettori, weather presenter Alex Beresford and former The Big Breakfast presenter Denise Van Outen.

A source revealed: "Marvin would be a brilliant signing." They went on to add: "Not only is he known to fans of The X Factor and fans of JLS, but the audience for The Hit List and This Morning spans from kids right through older viewers. And with Rochelle's backing, he's got a ready-made fan base."

The source continued to The Sun that bosses hope Marvin will make use of the famous jungle shower to showcase his ripped physique after remaining a "pin-up" over the course of his 15 years in the public eye. "He'll have lots of showbiz stories to tell, too, from his 15 years in the limelight," they added.

News of Marvin apparently heading out to Australia comes just days after former controversial MEP Nigel Farage revealed he was in talks with ITV bosses to swap London for the jungle. Speaking on his GB News programme, the former UKIP party leader revealed he was "seriously considering" offers made to him by ITV top dogs.

He told viewers: "Several times since 2016 I've had I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here say to me 'come into the jungle'. And they've always offered me really quite substantial sums of money to do so. And I've always thought, 'No it's probably not the right thing for me to do.'" He admitted that bosses would have a secure answer within 48 hours of him addressing the speculation.

Earlier this month, long-term hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly shared a video on social media teasing the 23rd series, which referenced them opening a "five-star" jungle retreat.
