Footage appears to show pro-Palestine protestors tussling with police at St Pancras station where they are holding a demonstration against the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

People can be heard chanting "let us pray" in one social media clip where Met Police could be seen among the protestors at the London station this morning. It was claimed that they were attempting to arrest people who were praying and take "copies of their speeches" but this has been denied by the Met Police who said it was "peaceful" and there were "no reports of disorder".

A large crowd could be seen and it appears as though among them were Jewish people who were not happy at Israel's attacks on Gaza was in their name. The Palestinian death toll in the Israel-Hamas war has reached 8,805, according to the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza. In the occupied West Bank, more than 122 Palestinians have been killed in violence and Israeli raids.

Tel Aviv launched its operation on Gaza, including a siege on food, fuel, water and medicine, in response to Hamas's raid that killed more than 1,400 people, mostly civilians slain in the October 7 rampage. Around 240 were also taken into Gaza by the militant group.

There have been large protests around the world over the continued violence in Gaza that includes the protest at St Pancras which appeared to include Jews. A tweet stated: "Police are attempting to arrest Jews in prayer. We shout “let us pray” for Palestine. The police have confiscated copies of our speeches. GET YOUR COP HANDS OFF OUR JEWISH COMRADES."

In another video posted on X (formerly Twitter ), a group at the station can be heard chanting: “Stop bombing Gaza. Not in our name.” And one protestor is seen holding a sign reading: "Jews say ceasefire now!"

Another sign states: “Occupation no more” and “None of us are free until Palestine is free". Another video of the scene is captioned: “Big #FreePalestine protest in St Pancras right now. Jewish folks saying #NotInOurName. It’s pretty emotionally charged her.”

The action in St Pancras follows one yesterday (November 1) at Liverpool Street Station in London where there was a sit-in organised by direct action group Sisters Uncut with speakers from the Palestinian Youth Movement and International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network.

British Transport Police told The Mirror: "Just after 8am today (2 November), our officers attended a sit-in protest at St Pancras railway station. The group were reported to be peaceful and there were no reports of disorder. There was no impact on the station services and by 8.45am the group had moved on. Anyone wishing to make a report related to this incident can text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 with reference 116 of 2 November 2023."
