Matthew Perry sadly died over the weekend, with his death now being investigated by robbery homicide police.

The 54-year-old former Friends star died on Saturday after he was found unconscious in his Los Angeles home. Emergency responders were called at 4:07pm after Matthew reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest. The Los Angeles Fire Department released a statement explaining that Matthew was found underwater in his jacuzzi but "repositioned" by his assistant.

As he was found underwater, he appeared to have drowned but no official cause of death has been made yet, as an initial autopsy was "deferred" while the state performs a toxicology report. It's now been revealed that robbery homicide cops are investigating his death, despite there being no signs of foul play.

A spokesperson for the LAFD told The Mirror: "Los Angeles City Firefighters responded to the 18000 block of West Blue Sail Drive at 4:07 PM on October 28, 2023, to find an adult male unconscious in a stand-alone hot tub. A bystander had brought the man's head above the water and gotten him to the edge, then Firefighters removed him from the water upon their arrival.

"A rapid medical assessment, sadly, revealed the man was deceased prior to first responder arrival. The circumstances are under investigation by LAPD and the LA County Medical Examiner. We mourn with families and friends who lose a loved one unexpectedly."
