A friendly vibe in the neighbourhood is always great, and it's good to know that those living near you have your back, and will look out for you no matter what. Whether you need to borrow their electrical equipment because yours is on the blink, or you forgot to order milk in your weekly shop so need to borrow some to make a brew, having a cordial relationship makes life so much better.

But sometimes, people locally make life more difficult for you, and when one woman's neighbour was taking "photos of people's cars", she was left seething - especially as he was "calling the cops" on people who parked their cars over the pavement.

She took to Reddit to explain what her neighbour was doing - but people also weren't too impressed by her conduct, regardless of her excuses. She wrote: "There's a man down the street from my house who continues to walk around the neighbourhood taking photos of people's cars that are parked over the sidewalk and calling the cops.

"He runs away after he takes a photo. I understand it's illegal but I live in a very tight neighbourhood where I can't park near my house on the street. This was the third time people saw him taking a photo of my car and running away. Lucky for me, he celebrates Halloween so I confronted him and he said he's doing it to everyone - calling the cops on everyone.

"The cops have been in my neighbourhood five times in the past two weeks ringing on people's doorbells telling them to move their vehicles (mine once). The person who parks at my house does not even live here but somehow that man catches my boyfriend parking that way even if it is for 30 mins.

"I told him to be a man and tell people instead before calling the cops if it really bothered him. No warning, just straight to the 911 call on a Wednesday afternoon at 1pm. He said we could park in front of his house (on the road) since it's not his property and when we tried, he 'coincidentally' moved his car where we wouldn't be able to park. How can I get this man back hahaha."

Rather than advice, however, they were greeted with advice that told them to not park over the pavement, as that would be the right thing to do. One wrote: "Obey the letter of the law always no matter what. There is almost no interpretation for parking. Just do literally what is unassailably right." Another fumed: "Stop parking like an a**hole. #teamthatguy."
