Maya Jama has complete Halloween transformation as she looks unrecognisable
Maya Jama has wowed fans with her dramatic Halloween transformation, stepping out as X-Men superhero Storm in honour of the spooky occasion.
The Love Island host took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to share her impressive costume with fans, even going so far as to recreate some of the legendary character's knockout stunt moves.
"The perfect storm," she captioned the post, which includes a clip of her casting lightening on a rooftop and staring ominously into the camera. To achieve the iconic look, Maya is decked out in a leather black jumpsuit with a zipped V-neck and a monogrammed collar, a pair of black gloves and chunky black boots. As for her accessories, the 29-year-old has gone for a platinum blonde wig with a blunt fringe and white contact lenses, which reflect the change of Storm's eye colour when she's controlling the weather.
Maya treated fans to even more snippets of her costume in her Stories, sharing a snap of her trying on a pair of sleek-looking sunglasses in one post and practising funny faces in another. The reality TV presenter, who replaced Laura Whitmore as host of Love Island last summer, can also be seen poking her tongue out playfully as her stylist pins her wig to her head.

The powerful post has gained quite the reaction online, with many of the DJ's fans gushing their praise for the outfit in the comment section.

It's no secret that Maya takes Halloween seriously, with the Londoner throwing an extravagant bash in celebration of the ghoulish event every year. Last year, she set the Internet on fire after dressing up as Bad Grandma, inspired by Jackass’ Bad Grandad, and in 2021, she stepped out as Greek gorgon Medusa in gold body paint and dirty blonde wig.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan in August, Maya spoke candidly about her love for the autumnal event. "I throw a big Halloween party every year – it’s just a fun time for people to dress up and let their hair down," she explained.
As of August 2023, Maya has been in a relationship with Stormzy - who may or may not have inspired her superhero costume. The pair were spotted on a date night in London earlier this month, but it remains unknown if the Grime rapper will attend the ITV2 presenter's party later tonight.
