Riddles are seriously difficult, as they can make your mind wander to the incorrect place, leading you to believe you've cracked it when in actual reality, you're on the totally wrong page.

They're also really fun to try and fathom with friends and family, but be warned, they can get seriously competitive - especially this one that is so hard that it may keep you up all night, stressing about what the answer is.

Brightside has posted the tricky riddle which has left people stumped, but do you fancy your chances at trying to answer it? Be warned, it's seriously tough.

The tricky riddle asks: "I am six letters. When you take one away I am twelve. What am I?" If you're baffled, you're not the only one, as you may be thinking of every single answer except the correct one. Brightside even referred to it as a "hardcore riddle."

Do you think you've managed to work it out? Riddles are great for exercising your brain and keeping yourself focused, allowing yourself to think outside of the box. If you're still trying to figure it out, stop scrolling because the answer is coming up.
