Staying warm throughout the winter months without popping the heating on all day long can prove to be a difficult task - especially for those still working from home full-time.

With energy bills still on the rise, many households are relying on Martin Lewis and his team to provide useful tips on how to save those pennies this winter, and one of those tips proving to be popular is to ‘heat the human not the home.’

Investing in the right clothes can make a huge difference, but Martin’s team of money saving experts also recommend getting extra warmth from electric blankets, heat pads, and foot warmers - with some costing less than 1p per hour to run.

For those who suffer with cold feet, one suggestion on the list is to grab a pair of heated insoles - and we’ve spotted a popular pair on Amazon for just £12.50.

The foot insoles which are available in sizes small to extra large, easily slip inside your shoe to provide an impressive eight hours of warmth for your feet and toes. With over 3,000 five-star reviews and an impressive overall average score of 4.5, it’s not hard to see why shoppers are calling these a ‘life-changing discovery.’

One delighted customer who left a glowing review said: “Best discovery of 2023. I can't believe I have lived all these years without those. I encourage everyone to try them if you suffer from cold feet as this product is a real life changer.”

A second added: “I bought them for my week of skiing this year and I was the only one who wouldn't be freezing during the day. Kept me warm and my feet/toes were never cold. They really helped and were comfortable! Everyone will be getting some for the 2024 season.”

While a third said: “Perfect for cold feet in winter. Better than my electric socks and the heat easily lasts for 6-8 hours. Toasty toes and pleasant walks - love them.”

Many shoppers also found the insoles helped with bad circulation and conditions relating to the cold weather such as; Raynaud's and Chilblains.

The insoles activate themselves, so all you have to do is place them in your shoes and wait for up to 10 minutes for them to heat up for up to eight hours and you'll get five pairs in one pack too for just £12.50.

Another suggestion from Martin Lewis and his team is to invest in some USB heated gloves which are perfect for those who suffer with cold hands.

USB heated gloves are one of the cheapest heating options on the MoneySavingExpert guide, with an initial investment of around £10, costing less than 1p an hour to run, and around 4p a week to use, based on being used for five hours a day.
