Matthew Perry 's most recent ex Molly Hurwitz shared a moving tribute online, but shared that he had "caused pain like [she'd] never known."
Molly, 32, was initially linked to the actor in 2018, and the pair were engaged in November of 2020, before separating in June 2021. The literary manager for Thruline Entertainment posted a moving tribute to Perry on Instagram after the 54-year-old Friends star was found dead in his Los Angeles home over the weekend.
Hurwitz wrote: "He would love that the world is talking about how talented he was. And he really was very talented. As the Friends reunion was approaching, we rewatched the show together. “F**k, I was so good!!!…See what I did there???” We rewound and studied scenes. Our respect and appreciation of humour is something that connected us. Being with him as he rediscovered his brilliance was magical.

Several failed relationships had left him feeling "sad and depressed", sources say. Matthew had longed for a "perfect family," but in 2021, he ended his engagement to Molly.

A source close to the star said: "Matthew always dreamed of having the perfect family. He wanted a wife, and at least a couple of kids. And he said he wouldn't even mind marrying a woman who already had kids. Lately the star has been looking for love again.
"But a string of failed relationships left him feeling sad and depressed, and as if he would never find that love he longed for. Matthew dated dozens of women," they added. "But in the end, he always felt they were only interested in his money and his fame. And he was generous to a fault. He would shower women with gifts only to have them pack up their goodies and walk away."
