Lionel Messi's teammate Robert Taylor went with a memorable look for Halloween as he paid homage to the Argentine's internet sensation bodyguard via fancy dress.

The presence of the Inter Miami talisman's personal security watching on from the sidelines has become a regular aspect of the MLS outfit's games in recent months. Having reportedly assumed the role on the recommendation of David Beckham, Yassine Chueko's dedication to ensuring his client's safety has endeared him to fans around the world.

The former US Navy Seal has stepped in on a numerous occasions to apprehend people from approaching Messi during Vice City's matches since the summer. In one instance, a clip would go viral after he grabbed a pitch invader by the neck during Miami's clash with LAFC last month.

Now, it appears that the actions of the bodyguard have also caught the eye of Messi's teammates, with midfielder Taylor having paid homage to the bodyguard at a Halloween party. Amusingly, the Finland international's resemblance to Chueko would prove uncanny once he dressed up in identical attire to the former MMA fighter.

In a photograph posted on Taylor's Instagram page, he posed with his fists clenched, very much capturing the essence of Chueko's character in the process. As part of his look, he would also wear the same black Adidas tracksuit that fans have become accustomed to seeing the bodyguard wear.

To complete his striking transformation, he would also wear a false beard alongside a bald cap, which very much made his likeness unmistakable. In an attempt to match Chueko's ripped physique, the Miami star also wore an arm sleeve which included some fake muscles.

It is not known whether Messi approved of his teammate's choice of attire for Halloween but it has been clear that the pair have struck up a close bond in recent months. Taylor's form improved exponentially following the arrival of the Argentine legend and he ended the campaign on eight goals in 40 outings.

The 32-time international has spoken in glowing terms about Messi in the past, however, while hailing the impact the iconic winger has had already for the Herons. Speaking previously, he could not hide his delight at sharing a dressing room with the superstar as he looked back on his career.

He said: "If someone told me a few years ago when I sitting on the bench for Lincoln Moorlands that I’m going to play with [Sergio] Busquets and Messi I would have just laughed in their face. I was sitting on the bench, I wasn’t able to get any minutes in non-league and the coach told me I’m not strong enough or basically good enough.

"I was just sitting on the bench watching. It tested me when I was younger. I was calling my parents back home in Finland and saying maybe I want to look for something, other options."
