Strictly Halloween week leaderboard in full after Amanda Abbington quit

Halloween Week always brings us the spookiest Strictly Come Dancing routines and it looks like this series of the BBC show will be no different as the stars take to the dancefloor

Strictly Come Dancing's stars dusted their dance shoes off for a Halloween Spooktacular this weekend.

The celebrities and their professional partners took on some spooky-themed dances to mark the annual holiday, which falls on October 31st. Tonight, the stars gave it their all as they are vying for a place in next week's competition. Edging closer to the final of the hit Latin and ballroom show, the stars will need to give it their all ahead of the big final in just a few weeks' time.

It's been an unusual week on Strictly this week following the exit of Sherlock actress Amanda Abbington. She stepped down from the programme this week after missing last weekend's performance for medical reasons.

In a statement, she said: "It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue. It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside.

"I want to thank the incredible Production team and everyone on Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. It’s a wonderful bunch of people and I’ll miss all of them. I’m so sad that I am unable to go any further. Thank you to everyone who voted and who sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all amazing. Truly. Thank you. xxx."

The remaining dancers took to the dancefloor tonight in a bid to make it to week seven with their spooky-themed routines as they fight for the public's vote in the hope of avoiding the dreaded dance-off.
