Disney's live-action remake of the classic animation Snow White movie has come under fire from fans and critics before it even comes out next year after a teaser left people fuming.

In 2025, the live-action version of the animated classic Snow White will come out, which happens to be one year after it was first scheduled for release. The hit movie, which first came out in 1937, has long been a childhood staple, with children growing up watching it for generations.

But with the new live-action movie's release looming, and a first look at what the motion picture will be like, some fans aren't sold. The American musical fantasy film is directed by Marc Webb, from a screenplay by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson, with a star-studded cast. But this isn't enough for some.

Rachel Zegler, 22, will take on the leading role of Snow White, while Gal Gadot, 38, will portray the Evil Queen. Other cast members include the likes of Martin Klebba, Andrew Burnap, and Ansu Kabia.

A still from the movie has now been shared online, where Rachel can be seen portraying Snow White while sitting on a chair in a quaint little cottage. With the brunette beauty sat in the middle of the room, she can be seen surrounded by the iconic seven dwarfs: Doc, Sleepy, Dopey, Grumpy, Bashful, Happy, and Sneezy.

But despite the exciting image that has circulated social media, some fans aren't best pleased. Many were quick to point out the "awful" CGI, while others branded it a "horror movie".

One person penned: "This is one of the classics they should’ve left alone," while someone else said: "The CGI looks awful." A third then brazenly wrote: "First look at my next nightmare!" While another echoed: "Oh this looks awful."

"I like the old Disney," added a fifth. A sixth person then penned: "I thought Peter Dinklage made them get rid of the dwarves. So now it’s just CGI instead of real actors? No way this movie does well."

But others seemed a little more positive, with one writing: "Wow…it actually doesn’t look completely awful on all levels." And another adding: "I hope it lives up with the expectations."

This comes after actor Peter Dinklage, who is 4ft 4in and has a form of dwarfism, slated Disney as “f*****g backwards”.

Peter, who has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, was fuming back in January 2022 when he said: "I was a little taken aback when they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White.

"You’re still telling the story of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me. You’re progressive in one way, and you’re still making that f*****g backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together – what the f**k are you doing man?"
