Gogglebox's Amy Tapper hailed as 'gorgeous' in new photos after weight loss
Gogglebox star Amy Tapper has wowed fans with glamorous photos of her with her loved ones, after receiving cruel comments about her appearance from trolls online.
The 23-year-old shot to national fame on the Channel 4 reality show in 2013 with her hilarious one-liners as she watched TV alongside her North London family. She has built a solid media presence since her Gogglebox debut, accumulating a whopping 78k followers on Instagram and appearing on shows like Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Mastermind.
Unfortunately, Amy's public status has also made her the target of nasty remarks about her weight. The hairdresser has admitted that she's read 'horrible' comments on her size since she was a teenager, which have naturally left her feeling insecure about her image.

Amy embraced a whole new lifestyle as part of her health transformation"It was quite upsetting. There were people on Twitter calling us ‘the fat family from Gogglebox’ but my mum and my brother have never had any problems with their weight," she explained on social media.
"People genuinely thought I sat there watching TV all day, as if that was my life, as if I didn’t ever go to school," she said. "They thought that all I ever did was sit on the couch eating chocolate and sweets, or that I was just oblivious to the fact I was big and overweight."

Amy has been on a weight loss journey for several years now, dropping 3stone in lockdown and trimming down from a size 26 to a 20. She has also embraced a more active lifestyle, dancing around the house and following YouTube workout videos to boost her fitness levels. Another investment she made was a personal trainer, who designed customized exercise plans for the TV personality to follow in the gym and at home. As for the nutrition side of things, Amy now follows a high-protein meal plan from MuscleFood and avoids the crash diets that had failed her in the past.
Her fans were quick to gush at her latest photos, in which she can be seen posing with her cousin Izzy. Wearing a mint green top emblazoned by sequins and a pair of black leather leggings with chunky boots, the Channel 4 icon looks ready to party as she beams in celebration of her beloved family's member's 21st birthday. "My little cousin is not so little anymore," she captioned the sweet post.

Amy has previously admitted that her battle with health has been a lifelong issue, having been told by doctors that she suffers from a slow metabolism. "There was nothing specific because I’ve struggled with my weight since I was about eight years old," she told Metro. "I’ve always tried every diet under the sun."
