Taylor Swift headed on a girls night out after she rebuffed claims that she is bisexual.

The chart topping star was joined for a fancy meal by her friends Alana and Danielle Haim as they stepped out in New York City on Thursday. The girls headed to Holiday Bar for a catch up ahead of Taylor getting back on the road for her Eras Tour this weekend.

Taylor, 33, wore a tan coloured coat teamed with a loose-fitting black dress and brown knee-high stiletto boots as she hit the town with the girls who alongside their sister Este make up the rock band Haim. The group supported Taylor on the Californian leg of her tour back in August.

The Cruel Summer singer has been firm friends with Haim since 2014 and they collaborated on the track No Body, No Crime from her ninth studio album Evermore. The outing came after Taylor - who is dating NFL player Travis Kelce - denied claims that she is bisexual.

In a prologue of her rereleased1989 album she wrote: “If I only hung out with my female friends, people couldn't sensationalise or sexualise that right? I would learn later on that people could and people would.”

Over the years, Taylor has dated many huge Hollywood stars, but hasn't always been explicit about their relationship. Some fans believe that Taylor has also had secret relationships with her female friends like Diana Agron and Karlie Kloss, but has just not labeled them to the public.

According to Taylor, as a result of the backlash she faced from 'dating too many men,' she avoided hanging out with them altogether. In her mind, if she surrounded herself with a strong girl gang she could get away from the constant dating speculation. This band of best friends became a trademark of her 1989 era, so it makes sense that she is revisiting those friendships ahead of the album.

She explained: "Dating, flirting, or anything that could be weaponised against me by a culture that claimed to believe in liberating women but consistently treated me with the harsh moral codes of the Victorian era.”

Later, Taylor discovered some people thought she was kissing Karlie. At the time, she silenced the rumors. Taylor tweeted: "As my 25th birthday present from the media, I’d like for you to stop accusing all my friends of dating me. #thirsty.”

However, Taylor still promises that she's a strong LGBTQ+ supporter. In fact, she thanked fans for recognising "the seeds of allyship and advocating for equality in Welcome to New York.” Previously, she has spoken up about her support for the LGBTQ+ community and her journey of advocacy. In a 2019 Vogue interview where she discussed her single Me!, she said: “Rights are being stripped from basically everyone who isn’t a straight white cisgender male. I didn’t realise until recently that I could advocate for a community that I’m not a part of."
