EastEnders star Jay Brown's real life from co-star 'romances' to rustic home
Over in EastEnders, Jay Brown is currently going through a very difficult time. Still very much grieving over the loss of his wife Lola Pearce-Brown (Danielle Harold), over the last couple of months, Jay, played by actor Jamie Borthwick, has sought solace by sleeping beside lookalike escort Nadine Keller (Jazzy Phoenix), handing over money so that he can pretend his beloved Lola is still with him.
The devastating storyline took another dark turn when Jay began taking drugs to numb his pain, much to the dismay of his friends. As Jay's mental state becomes increasingly concerning, we take a look back at actor Jamie's life away from Albert Square, from co-star romance rumours to his gorgeous rustic home.

Jamie recently set tongues wagging after sharing a sweet mirror selfie of himself and Jazzy Phoenix, who plays newcomer Nadine. The pair looked quite comfortable together in the pic, with Jazzy resting her head contentedly on Jamie's shoulder.
The photo, captioned "It's all your fault @jazzy.phoenix", has sparked many viewers to speculate about the friendship between the duo, with some wondering if a potential backstage romance could be on the cards. One curious person commented: "Are they an item?" Another remarked: "They would make a great couple".
This of course isn't the first time that the 29-year-old has found himself at the centre of romance rumours concerning a fellow EastEnders star. Back in February, Jamie's Instagram followers were left struck by a selfie snapped at the Broadcast Awards, which showed he and Lola actor Danielle Harold looking very close.

Danielle captioned the pic "my love", complete with a love heart emoji, sparking rumours that the onscreen husband and wife might be more than friends away from set. In another video shared via Instagram, Danielle and Jamie could be seen singing away in a taxi together, with Danielle writing, "Always be our song. I love you @jamie_b10".
In an interview with The Sun, however, Jamie clarified that they are just "extremely close" friends, explaining: "We have a laugh on set, we know each other inside out, and we know what makes each other laugh. [...] I've got Danielle's back, and she's got my back; we're extremely close."
Beautiful rustic home
Now, as regular viewers will know, struggling car salesman Jay resides in a fairly crowded flatshare with Callum Highway (Tony Clay), Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), and young stepdaughter Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown). His offscreen counterpart lives in a far more luxurious property however, complete with a rustic woodburning stove and picturesque forest views.
The stylish home is filled with guitars and tastefully selected pieces of furniture, including a vintage-looking mahogany chest of drawers. For the colour palette, Jamie has opted for calming neutral tones, incorporating a few more vibrant shades here and there to create a fun yet relaxed feel.
