Stacey Solomon jokes she would 'rather be pregnant' than take on scary task

Stacey Solomon has joked she would ‘rather be pregnant’ than go on a rollercoaster after a scary night out with her eldest kids.

The mum-of-five left daughters Belle, eight months, Rose, two, and four-year-old son Rex at home with dad Joe Swash while she took her older sons Zachary, 15, and 11-year-old Leighton out for a Halloween themed treat at a theme park.

But after braving the Stealth rollercoaster at Thorpe Park – said to be the fastest rollercoaster in the UK – Stacey joked she was having second thoughts about her night out. Sharing a snap of herself on the ride, the 34-year-old told fans: “I look like I’m crying! I actually look like I’m crying!”, as her boys are heard laughing in the background.

Posting the picture to her Instagram stories for her 5.8 million followers to see, Stacey captioned the post: “Feeling dizzy! No I’m sorry. I feel like the older I get the worse I am at rollercoasters”, followed by a laughing face emoji.

She continued: “It’s been a few years since I did this with the boys because I’ve been pregnant for a few years. I’d rather be pregnant than do this @thorpeparkofficial.” In another picture, all is well again as Stacey posed in front of the ride with Zachary and Leighton and wrote: “To the moon and back boys” followed by a white love heart emoji.

And it’s not just Zachary and Leighton who have been treated to spooky treats – as Stacey revealed the younger kids had been busy getting into the spirit as it was youngest child’s very first Halloween. In an adorable snap – which left proud mum Stacey saying she “can’t cope” with the cuteness – Belle can be seen dressed in an orange and white stripe tutu onesie with a bat and pumpkin on it which said ‘trick or treat’.

Dad Joe was also in the picture and looked on adoringly as Belle smiled at the camera. But neither Joe or Stacey dressed up for the occasion, preferring to keep it casual in jeans and a T-shirt. In the final snap on the carousel, Belle is pictured sitting next to her older brother, Rex, who is kitted out in an orange jumper with a large ghost design.

"Belle’s First Halloween," Stacey captioned the autumnal post. "That smile I can’t cope. The little ones all wanted to dress up just to be at home today." If that wasn't precious enough, the busy mum then revealed that it was Rose's idea to get her little sister ready for Halloween.

"Rose wanted to dress Belle up so we took some pictures at the front door for belles first Halloween," Stacey explained. "Happy Tuesday Everyone. Hope this makes you smile as much as it did us." In another post in her Instagram stories, Stacey wrote: “HAPPY TUESDAY from this two little spooks” as she shared another photo of Rose and Rex in their Halloween-style costumes.

Revealing the family had been making some Halloween crafts before October 31, Stacey added: “We are having a homey craft day today. And they both wanted to wear their spookies. Who am I to say no.” She then shared a video of the youngsters collecting leaves from the garden at Pickle Cottage before Stacey – who is known for her crafting skills – showed they had made ghost decorations out of them. “DIY leaf ghosties. These were so fun. The kids loved doing it. And they loved hunting for the perfect leaves. So easy but I think they’re really cute,” she added.
