Emmerdale fans rumble what Tom King is hiding in harrowing murder twist

Tom King recently made a return to the Emmerdale village and quickly sparked up a romance with Belle Dingle, but he has been acting weirdly lately and fans think they've cracked it

Emmerdale fans have rumbled what Tom King is hiding after acting 'weird' following his mother's death.

Yesterday, Tom learned that his mother Colleen King had died and has been left reeling from the news. His girlfriend Belle Dingle has been trying to support him through the shock news, but he has been pushing off her advances and insisting he doesn't want to talk. Belle has tried multiple times to speak to him but to no avail with fans suspecting he is keeping a secret.

Tom's mother hasn't appeared in the village for a number of years but viewers are now convinced they've worked out what Tom is hiding about his mum's deaths - and it could spell trouble for Belle.

Could there be trouble for Belle?

One fan wrote on Twitter : "Tom has definitely murdered his mum... why else would he be so shifty? Or maybe the lad who beat him up?? #Emmerdale," as a second added: " #Emmerdale Tom ’s mum murdered maybe? Belle watch out you’re in trouble!" A third shared on social media: "What is up with Tom he seemed nice at first #Emmerdale."

Back in June, James Chase - who plays Tom - insisted the character had turned over a new leaf amid his dark past.

He said: "Going back to Saudi Arabia put Tom onto a new path to become the best man he can be and just to be there for the people that he loves. Part of the darkness of that time in Tom's life definitely affected Chas. He turned over a new leaf, he was very young obviously and full of emotions when he was dealing with all these issues, I don't think he really knew how to deal with them.

"He's definitely going down the route of trying to build those bridges up again that he sort of burned. I think with Chas he will try to apologise to her and just to try and build that friendship again. He's certainly a new man now and wants to find closure and be able to leave the village once again without all of that darkness clouding him."

However, is all as it seems or is Tom hiding something far more sinister that could leave Belle in danger?
