Scottish comedian Janey Godley issued a health update to fans amid her battle with cancer, confessing she has been keeping herself busy and enjoying the 'good days'.
The 62-year-old comic shared a post to X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday, admitting her debilitating condition has put into perspective the limited time she has to cherish the small moments in life. Godley revealed to her followers she took a recent trip to Port Appin, a secluded coastal village in Scotland, and has since been soaking in her breathtaking surroundings.
She shared a video clip of herself enjoying the great outdoors, and penned: "Life with cancer isn’t for counting the last days down, it’s for living the days I have left. This makes me forget that I have got a limited time. Every time I get a cancer treatment, you know it's a life-limiting disease. It is life-limiting for me," she explained. "But it doesn't limit the life I get to live when I've got it."
She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021 (Twitter/@JaneyGodley)She added: "Being able to get away and take in nature and enjoy the beauty makes me realise I can't live every day like it's my last - that's too much pressure for everybody, but I can live good days. I can enjoy really good days and I've got so much to do."
She is gearing herself up for her anticipated tour next year and said she is excited for the release of her upcoming book. In the social media post, she thanked her followers who have continuously offered her words of encouragement and support after she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2021.

"I've got the radio four show that I'm writing, my new book is finally coming out soon, a documentary being made and the tour in January and I'm no deed yet. I've got to just keep living as much as I can, and I do that and you all support me so thank you," she concluded.
Janey previously told MailOnline she has accepted that fact she may die within a year, and leave behind her husband and daughter. Janey is undergoing regular chemotherapy and says she will 'keep fighting' her cancer until her body decides she can't fight it anymore.
"I have to accept that I've got something that's life-limiting and it's not all-clear. That's hard for people to understand,' she says. "Friends and family are coming to terms with the fact that this isn't a good story. It's not the story of Janey getting cancer and then being fine. It's difficult for people."
