The Prince and Princess of Wales are known for being poised and professional when carrying out royal duties. But it seems the pair let the mask slip when they were caught on camera indulging in a loving public display of affection - and it left royal fans swooning. The rare moment came when the pair visited a mental fitness workshop run by SportsAid, one of Kate's patronages.

In the blink-and-you-'ll-miss-it moment, Prince William and Kate can be seen chatting to a person at the event, when it appears that the Prince of Wales notices something on his wife's face. He tenderly reaches out to remove it for her before a grateful Kate gives her hair a flick and flashes a smile as the couple resume their conversation.

Footage of the sweet exchange was posted to Instagram by a royal fan who wrote of the clip: "Aw look at our Prince of Wales, being the loving husband that he is, removing something from his beautiful wife's face at Bisham Abbey last week, so sweet, right? He is such a wonderful husband! A gentleman."

And one fellow fan added: "Awh mama gimme one like William please." Another said: "He’s a true gent always." One simply wrote: "Soo sweet..." While another added: "Always there for each other" with two red heart emojis.

The past few days have been quiet on the public duty front from William and Kate following a busy few weeks of engagements - and it seems it's all down to her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

That's because the three children are all on their autumn half-term holidays from school - and during school holidays, Kate often keeps her engagements to a minimum. The children have been off since Friday, October 13 and have an impressive two weeks off school - all three return to class at Lambrook School on Monday, October 30.

It's unknown exactly what the Wales family will all be up to during George, Charlotte and Louis' holiday time - but it could be that future King George might use it as study time. It is understood he has exams in just a few week's time, with mum Kate not attending husband Prince William's Earthshot Prize Awards, to support her son.

Kate has attended every awards ceremony since they began two years ago but The Mirror revealed that she will not be travelling to Singapore with her husband for the 2023 event in November. Kensington Palace confirmed Kate's non-attendance with a royal source revealing why she will stay at home.

A senior source, confirming the Mirror's story, explained: "The Princess will not be attending. Prince George has exams that week and the Princess wants to be at home to support him." Kensington Palace has refused to comment on what exams the future king George, 10, will be taking.

However, the preliminary entrance exams for Eton College, known as ISEBs, occur at that time as the Earthshot Prize during the first week of November. Several other elite private schools also use the exams. George has been spotted visiting Eton, which his father William and uncle Prince Harry both attended and is widely expected to attend the school. He is currently a pupil at Lambrook School, along with his younger siblings Charlotte and Louis. Lambrook, however, only teaches students until age 13.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were spotted in June touring the campus with their eldest son. It's possible that in three years, the young prince will attend the all-boys school, which is located near Windsor Castle, where the family now live after leaving Kensington Palace.
