Lorraine's eagle-eyed fans were left distracted on Tuesday as they spotted an awkward Amanda Abbington blunder amid her Strictly Come Dancing exit.
It was revealed on Monday night that Amanda, 49, had quit the hit BBC One dance competition after she missed last weekend's episode due to "medical reasons". The news was shared on spin-off show, It Takes Two, but host Fleur East, who read aloud a statement from a Strictly spokesperson which said: "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition. The show wishes her all the best for the future."
On Tuesday's episode of Lorraine, guest host, Christine Lampard, talked about Amanda leaving Strictly with pro partner Giovanni Pernice. However, eagle-eyed viewers were left distracted during the scenes as they noticed an awkward spelling blunder. The banner on-screen read: "Amanda Abbingtong" with a "g" added at the end instead of "Amanda Abbington".
The awkward spelling blunder didn't go unnoticed by viewers at home as one person took to Twitter, now X, with a screen grab of the error, writing: "Lol at Lorraine spelling Amanda Abbington's name wrong!" However, later in the show, the spelling error appeared to be resolved as Amanda's name was spelt correctly on-screen.

Taking to Instagram, she posted a shot of her dancing shoes followed by a statement. She said: "It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue.

"It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside. I want to thank the incredible Production team and everyone on Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. It’s a wonderful bunch of people and I’ll miss all of them."
Signing off her statement, Amanda added: "I’m so sad that I am unable to go any further. Thank you to everyone who voted and who sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all amazing. Truly. Thank you. xxx."
