Britney Spears has bravely opened up about how she felt after suffering a miscarriage during her marriage to Sam Asghari.
Writing in her memoir, The Woman in Me, Britney said she was so "thrilled" at the thought of having another baby and wanted to share the news with the world. In April last year, the singer took to social media to announce she and Sam were having a baby following their trip to Hawaii.
"I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back… I thought 'Geez… what happened to my stomach ???' My husband said 'No you're food pregnant silly!!!' So I got a pregnancy test... and uhhhhh well… I am having a baby…" she wrote at the time.

She's opened up about the traumatic moment in her new memoir (@samasghari/Instagram)In her book, Britney said she felt "devastated" to have lost her baby and said she now had to "un-tell" all of her fans. In a joint Instagram post released in May last year, Britney and Sam said: "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.

"This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to shared the good news. Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family. We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment."
Britney has revealed she used music to help her overcome the tragic loss. In her memoir, she wrote: "Every song I sing or dance to lets me tell a different story and gives me a new way to escape. Listening to music on my phone helps me cope with the anger and sadness I face as an adult."

In a lengthy Instagram post, she wrote: "With a baby on the way my thought this morning was 'I'm so scared to make a mistake…Will I be thoughtful enough??? Will I be instinctive enough???’"
She also said she felt "destroyed" by the media during her previous pregnancies. Britney shares two children with her ex-husband Kevin Federline - Sean Preston and Jayden James.
"I was a baby raising 2 babies with 17 cars outside my house!!! I do know from the outside and by what was said in the news people were like 'WTF is going on with her???' The media has always been EXTREMELY rude to me," the singer said.
