Brooklyn Beckham has spoken out to address the ongoing criticism he's met with over his cooking videos.

The oldest son of David and Victoria Beckham is an aspiring chef after ditching his photography dreams, and in recent years, he has been sharing various cooking videos on his Instagram page.

Many social networkers have criticised 24-year-old Brooklyn's cooking techniques and often share their thoughts in the comments section of his videos.

In one upload in April, some of Brooklyn's followers claimed that he'd left a cork cooking in a pan of pasta sauce. That same month, he was also criticised for a cooking video which saw him grilling a cheese toastie with a blowtorch.

But Brooklyn insists he isn't fazed by the negative feedback he receives over his cooking methods. Speaking to Insider, he shared: "To be honest, I'm used to the hate.

"It doesn't really bother me. Cooking makes me happy. I have more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about me."

Brooklyn also said people can continue writing what they want to write and he will continue posting cooking videos. He added: "My message to them is to keep writing whatever they want to write. There are always going to be people out there who try and pull you down.

"I'm doing my thing and working my bum off. So they can keep writing what they want, but it's not going to bother me — I'm just going to keep doing my thing."

Brooklyn first started showing off his cooking prowess in July 2021 when he posted a time lapse video, which showed him cooking steak quesadilla.

He followed up the quesadilla video a few days with uploads showing him cooking two different pasta dishes - a spicy tomato one and a pesto pasta meal.

Shortly thereafter, Brooklyn launched his own Facebook Watch show, Cookin' With Brooklyn, however he hasn't posted on there since 2022.

Despite the criticism Brooklyn has faced, he has found support in celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, 56, who is good friends with David and Victoria, along with his wife Tana, 49.

Jumping to the budding chef's defence in a chat with MailOnline, he said: "It's hard, isn't it? Because he didn't ask for that level of intrusion from having famous parents.

"It probably came off a certain way, but it's not his fault. So I have no issues against it. I'm excited. We have another chef joining the mix."
