BBC Strictly star Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova's huge plans after snub
A number of Strictly Come Dancing fans were dismayed to learn that ballroom and Latin American dancing champion Nadiya Bychkova hadn't been selected to get a celebrity partner in the 2023 line-up. The 34-year-old, whose romantic and professional partner Kai Widdrington is dancing with legendary broadcaster Angela Rippon, is allegedly "seething" at the snub, in what has proven to be a "crushing" blow.
Shedding some light on Angela's current emotional state, a source told the Mirror: "Nadiya lives and breathes Strictly, and so to hear that she wouldn't have a celebrity partner this year was crushing for her. She was both gutted, and very, very angry. She has come to terms with it over the past few weeks, and will do her best to support Kai during the series. But it was devastating news for her."
It does appear however that Nadiya is looking forward to happier times ahead, with she and Kai delighting fans with a much longed-for announcement shared via Instagram.
After teasing followers with tantalising hints over the past few weeks, Nadiya and Kair have now officially announced their 2024 tour, sharing a glam poster for their "brand new show for 2024". In the caption of their shared Instagram post, the twinkle-toed duo wrote: "It's official, we're going back on tour in 2024 with our brand-new show, 'Behind the Magic'!"
They then went on to encourage followers to join the 24-hour exclusive presale on Thursday, October, 26, revealing that tour dates would be announced on Monday, October 23. According to intriguing information given on the poster, the 'Behind the Magic' tour will offer "a rare glimpse behind the curtain to see how the magic comes together".
