Bride exposes fiancé's affair to wedding guests after her family cruelly hid it
A woman has revealed her heartbreak after finding out just days before her wedding day that her love rat fiancé was having an affair with her best friend. And to make matters worse, she discovered her whole family had been in on the beterayal too.
After secretly checking his phone, she found a devastating group chat with her fiancé, best friend and some of her family members - including her mum - where the pair admitted to the affair and to being in love.
It all came to light after she epically exposed them - and her family - for hiding the relationship, causing her whole wedding rehearsal dinner to crumble, much to her delight.
When her fiancé "Alex" was in the shower, the bride spotted her best friend "Peach" was calling him, so she answered. The friend's strange explanation instantly rang alarm bells, as she claimed to have rang about flower arrangements. This led to the curious bride going through her fiancé's phone.
"I hate to be one of those people, but for once, my gut actually sunk. I got this really paranoid feeling and I couldn't shake it. I tried to convince myself that it was just my old cheating trauma trying to creep back. Yet, I just couldn't let this go...When I knew he was in a deep enough sleep, I went to check his phone again," the heartbroken bride revealed in a Reddit post.

It was when she checked his archived messages she found the "horrific truth that came to light" and saw the group chat with her best friend, her fiancé, and her half-brother and half-sister. Where the pair "confessed to having an affair" to her family. "My mum did shame them at first. Yet, she later asked Alex did he truly loved Peach. 'Because you can't help who you love'. He said he was absolutely sure and that he also loved me too? Then Maria and Richard offered that he bring up to me an open relationship.
"At this point, me and him were already engaged. Alex mentioned to them that it seemed too far deep to try to bring it up. Angie (my mum...even though at this point I hate to even call her that), said that they would cover for Alex and Peach until he felt strong enough to bring up an open relationship to me. As I was reading, all I could think was how in the actual f*ck could my family betray me like that. How could Peach betray me like that? We've been friends since Kindergarten. We even grew up with Alex."
It was then she found out that her best friend had also taken her space on a family trip that she was too unwell to go on. She asked how her friend could admit to loving her fiancé in the "disgusting" group chat. "The fact my mother was okay with all of this, I think is what hurts the most. The fact she's known for a whole year...that my fiancé was cheating on me," she added.
It all came to blows at the wedding rehearsal dinner when the bride sent the screenshots of the hidden group chat to the wedding party. When her fiancé gave a speech at the dinner it made her even more furious. "He mentioned how I was the love of his life and how he was so happy our families would mingle and we could be one. I wanted to ask him how dare he say that sh*t, but nothing but fake smiles and nods from me.
"People's phones started buzzing and Alex's and Peach's phones were blowing up. I would like to admit that for once a genuine smile crept on my face. It was like watching an entire kingdom crumble and fall. The horrified faces of Peach and Alex when they looked at me were golden. It's the one highlight I will hold on to from this emotional day."
Relieved that she finally uncovered their secret, the bride started "laughing and sobbing" while her family, friends and fiancés family were in uproar. "All the emotions I've kept pent up for a whole week just finally came up," she revealed, adding her fiancé was trying to speak to her but she just ignored him.
People were quick to tell her how appalingly her family had treated her, as one commenter wrote: "Absolutely disgusting and I hope you call every single one of them out and then throw them to the curb! You don't need people like that around you," while another added: "I would never trust someone named Peach. Never."
