Strictly Come Dancing's 'winners' named by expert as they predict final three

The couple 'most likely to win' Strictly Come Dancing this year has been named - according to an expert who looked at their body language.

As we approach week five of the BBC One dance contest, the 12 remaining couples are gearing up for another round in the ballroom after Paralympic champion Jody Cundy's recent exit. They're all hoping to secure a spot in next week's Halloween special and continue their quest for the Glitterball trophy.

This weekend promises more dazzling performances, with Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk performing a Couple's Choice to a Backstreet Boys medley, and Zara McDermott and Graziano di Prima dancing the American Smooth to LeAnn Rimes' 'Can't Fight The Moonlight'.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Darren Stanton has predicted Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice as potential winners of the latest show. He said: "The strongest couple compatibility and chemistry wise is Amanda and Giovanni. They have such a pure chemistry between them and it feels unbreakable.

"When we see them dance together, it's as though they know each other inside out and it comes across as completely natural." He also ranked former Love Island star Zara and dance partner Graziano to come third in the competition.

Darren added: "They're always seen supporting each other, even when they're speaking with the judges or Claudia, they're smiling with each other or leaning on each other. Amanda is never looking around for Giovanni, he's always by her side and lifting her spirits up."

He added: "Their bond and closeness have been reflected in every dance and appearance so far. They've gone from strength to strength. We have seen them give engaged eye contact for long amounts of time, gentle touches here and there, as well as genuine laughter. It's as though they don't want to be anywhere else when they are together."

"They move together as one. With a lot of the Strictly couples, their connections and relationships can often look contrived, masking their emotions on screen - but this is not the case here. People can be passionate about a certain routine, but they can't force passion for a person. Giovanni and Amanda's chemistry is very visual and intense, you can't escape it. They remain at the top of my list in terms of winning."

But on who he thinks is their biggest competition, Darren shared: " Nigel Harman and Katya Jones will be strong contenders to win the competition along with Amanda and Giovanni. It could be one of the two. Those two couples will come head to head in the end. Their intensity levels as well as trust in one another go through the roof every time they perform. Unless something goes seriously wrong in the coming weeks, there is no doubt that Nigel will be up against Amanda in the final."

He added: "Nigel always has fantastic eye contact with Katya, and he seems to really immerse himself in every routine. He dances with such ease, and Katya has brought a great side out of him. He's really let himself go and it's paid off every week. It comes down to his willingness to learn and hunger to win. It also shows how much trust he is putting in Katya, who he didn't know before the competition - and that takes a lot from someone."
